To be frank, it's a pain in the ass and I rarely say that about Apple things. I agree about hooks to other software, but we both know how much of a closed shop Apple are. It is surely due a big update though, I figure in time for the iPad launch? Considering Apple are all about simplicity, iTunes definitely comes from a windows mentality which is a shame. Definitely agree about the different display types for different media, when you look at some of the sexy frontends on things like XBMC, hell even front row when you browse for trailers is pretty cool! Do it Apple! Not that I really have much choice so I'm sure any requests for change will largely fall on deaf ears.
